Joanna Podolska in the curatorial team

Joanna Podolska – Doctor of Humanities, graduate of Polish Studies and Cultural Studies. Lecturer at the University of Łódź at the Institute of Contemporary Culture. In 1991-2011, she was a journalist for ‘Gazeta Wyborcza’ in Łódź. Head of The Marek Edelman Dialogue Center in 2011-2024. For over 20 years, it has been popularising the history and culture of Łódź, and above all its multicultural roots.

Joanna is co-creating the programme for this year’s Festival, with a particular focus on our city’s identity, heritage and historical contexts.
