INTERGENERATIONAL PICNIC

Announcement of the Łódź of Many Cultures Festival 2025

What is it about?

The Intergenerational Picnic is an open-air community event that sets the stage for this year’s edition of the Łódź of Many Cultures Festival. In the heart of the green surroundings of the Park Ocalałych (Survivors’ Parc), neighbors, families, friends, and residents of Łódź come together — those who have lived here for generations and those who are just beginning to call this city home. It’s a joyful, collective celebration of diversity, connection, and a culture of coexistence.
This year’s festival focuses on themes such as neighborly culture, African and Vietnamese traditions, and the culture of well-being — all of which will be introduced during the Picnic. Gatherings, concerts, workshops, and shared meals will create a space for integration, discovery, and relaxation.

What’s on the program?

  • Music
    • – Concert by the band ODPOCZNO – folk energy with a modern sound
    • – Live performance by the band founded by Senegalese musician Ablaye Badji
    • – DJ sets by Pham, a Polish music producer of Vietnamese-Polish origin
    • – DJ Lizard – music on a bike
  • Relaxation and gardening crafts zone – relax among the greenery
  • The Story Yurt – a Mongolian yurt hosting tales and traditions from Ethiopian and Turkish cultural backgrounds.
  • Movement, drumming, and circus workshops
  • Culinary zone – tastes and smells of multicultural Łódź

We’ll share the full program shortly.
