FESTIVAL CENTRE Day #1

Music | Meetings | Little Festival

What is it about?

The Festival Centre is a space for joint activities, lectures, workshops, understanding and exchange of ideas. It is a shared, caring and sensitive place. The Festival Centre is a meeting place for all those who create neighbourhood culture!

Throughout the day, the Dialogue Centre will become the vibrant heart of the festival – a place for meetings, music and creative fun. The programme includes:

Student Art Fair 10:00-16:00

On the first weekend of the Festival, we invite you to visit the Student Art Fair between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.! The fair will be an exhibition space for students from the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź. You will have the opportunity to see the work of emerging artists from our Academy and purchase unique, designer items with soul! Paintings, drawings, ceramics and other handicrafts!

If you would like to join the Fair as an exhibitor, please write to: p.rembowski@centrumdialogu.com!

Ambient Yoga | Bambi Uzi x Nico Valenti & Neighbourhood Breakfast 10:00–12:00

Start your day energetically! The morning rave with the RAVEKJAVÍK collective will combine pulsating music with a leisurely festival-style breakfast entitled ‘Banica and aivar, or Balkan-style breakfast’ – hosted by singer and actress Elina Toneva from the Chorea Theatre.

Participation in the breakfast is free of charge. Coffee, tea and sweets will also be available for purchase at Filiżana Cafe at the Dialogue Centre!

Repair Café with the Local Activity Centre 10:00-16:00

The repair café will be a place, as the name suggests, for repairing things that can be repaired and do not need to be thrown away! The repair café will be run by senior citizens from the Local Activity Centre at 11 Pomorska Street.

The repair café will be a space decorated in the spirit of zero waste! It will draw attention to the problem of throwing away things that are still in good condition – or those that can actually be repaired! Next door, we will learn how to repair old clothes, and sewing machines will be available for use. And how should they be used? Our senior citizens will teach us everything we need to know!

Free admission

Screen printing with BLOT studio 12:00-16:00

A unique opportunity to print the Festival logo on a commemorative bag or T-shirt using one of the oldest and most noble techniques of finishing clothes, originating in the Far East.

Centrum Dobrej Rozmowy: Spotkanie ze Slavs & Tatars 13:00

A conversation with an international artistic collective combining visual art, choreography and cultural research. An inspiring exchange of ideas about language, identity and the boundaries between East and West.

River of Clothes – opening of an artistic and educational installation for children 15:00

An interactive space where children can play, create and discover the stories hidden in fabrics.

Festival Information Point 10:00-16:00

During the opening hours of the Dialogue Centre and Festival Centre, you will have the opportunity to ask any questions at our information point! Our volunteers will answer all your questions! We invite you to visit us!

Who is it for?

For people who want to spend a day in a creative, neighbourly atmosphere – families with children, art and design lovers, music and yoga enthusiasts, as well as anyone interested in ecology, repair and inspiring conversations about the modern world.

Why is it worth it?

Because a diverse programme awaits you in one place: a young art fair, morning yoga with live music and breakfast next door, a repair café, screen printing with the BLOT studio, a meeting with Slavs & Tatars and the opening of the installation ‘River of Clothes’. It’s a day full of creativity, good energy and community experiences.
