JUCHO | concert

New project by Justyna Chowaniak

JUCHO’s songs belong to alternative music, but draw from a variety of genres – from pop music, folk to acted song. It distinguishes itself with its simple form yet complex messages. The lyrics, often addressing challenging topics, are infused with humor and offer listeners ample room for interpretation. Her sincere and profound creativity invites us to slow down the pace of life, and to notice and appreciate the wonders of the world around us.

The new JUCHO project not only continues but also expands upon what Justyna created with Domowe Melodie. Her music, now enriched through collaboration with other musicians, retains the beloved character and style that garnered thousands of fans. Joining her on stage are two exceptional double bassists: Mateusz Wadowski and Tomasz Szymański.

Justyna Chowaniak – founder, vocalist, songwriter of the Domowe Melodie band. Active from 2012 to 2018, the band gained immense popularity for its unconventional lyrics and melodic compositions, with sold-out concerts in Poland, Iceland, Portugal, and Germany. Now Justyna is returning to the stage after a break of several years, bringing with her new energy and fresh sounds as part of the JUCHO project.

Mateusz Wadowski – classical and jazz double bassist, graduate of the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, working with prestigious orchestras such as Sinfonia Varsovia, the National Philharmonic Orchestra and the Warsaw Chamber Opera.

Tomasz Szymański – graduate of The Chopin University of Music, member of the Polish Sinfonia Iuventus Orchestra, and collaborator with orchestras including Sinfonia Varsovia, Warsaw Philharmonic, and 6th Floor Theatre.
