The first conference is behind us
On April 28, the Marek Edelman Dialogue Center in Łódź hosted the institution’s program conference, during which Agata Siwiak, the head of our Festival’s program team, presented the main objectives and thematic tracks of this year’s edition.
“At a time when the world is facing some of the most serious humanitarian crises in decades, this year’s edition of the Łódź Multicultural Festival stands as a gesture of defiance against indifference, oversimplifications, and the mechanisms that allow us to look the other way. We place human rights at the center of the program. We ask whose rights are truly protected today, and who is systematically deprived of them and why. We seek ways to tell stories of suffering and resistance that do not reproduce symbolic violence or oversimplify the narrative. Nor do we turn a blind eye to the plight of the planet and non-human beings.”
Agata also invited everyone to the first festival events, which will take place this May at the Dialogue Center, and Mean Collective discussed the concept behind the visual identity they created, which was received with great enthusiasm—something that makes us very happy.
