BREATHE! THE ART OF HEALTHY REST
Youth workshops
What is it about?
The constant rush, the stress of school and the lack of a moment for oneself – this is the daily life of many teenagers. Can rest be “learned”?
“Breathe! The Art of Healthy Rest” is an event created by young people – for young people. The meeting combines lectures, talks and workshops on mental, physical and emotional well-being. Participants will learn how to deal with overstimulation, stress, mental tension and how to take care of their inner peace.
On the program:
– talks with experts about sleep, emotions, nutrition and the impact of social media
– practical workshops: yoga, meditation, breathing exercises, art and sensory activities
– tips on how to recognize your own needs and create space for recovery
It’s not just education – it’s a space to slow down, feel relief and just be.
By whom?
Project curators:
Maria Sobierajska-Kulinska – a student of the 13th High School in Lodz, author of lyrics and songs. She creates out of the need to express herself and build relationships.
Zuzanna Płuciennik – a student of the 13th High School in Lodz, passionate about photography and travel. She believes that art and mindfulness are forms of relaxation and self-discovery.
The idea and program for the event was conceived by young people, in cooperation with experts in the areas of mental health, diet, education and exercise.
Who is it for?
- For high school students (15-19 years) – people who feel overtired, overstimulated, overwhelmed by everyday life
- especially recommended for students who:
– have difficulty coping with stress
– feel the pressure to be constantly productive
– are looking for ways to have effective, healthy rest
– want to better understand their emotions and needs
Registration: d.dziedzinska@centrumdialogu.com. Places are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.
Why is it worth it?
At a time when rest is often treated as a “waste of time,” it is worth reminding ourselves that regeneration is the foundation of health – mental and physical.
This event:
– gives space to stop and breathe
– builds attentiveness to the needs of the body and emotions
– inspires the creation of healthy habits
– allows us to feel that we are not alone in our fatigue
“Breathe!” is an invitation to live a slower, but more conscious and empathetic life – also towards oneself.
