FESTIVAL CENTRE Day #3

Music | Art | Meetings | Little Festival

What is it about?

The Festival Centre is a space for joint activities, lectures, workshops, understanding and exchange of ideas.. A shared, warm and welcoming space. The Festival Centre will be a meeting place for all those who create neighbourhood culture!

On this day, the Festival Centre will once again invite everyone to dance, chat and engage in creative fun – from morning swing to workshops for children. The programme includes:

Neighbourhood dance party: Dance party with the Łódź Retro Orchestra & Neighbourhood Breakfast 10:00 – 12:00

A morning in the rhythm of swing – a dance warm-up to live music and breakfast together in a relaxed, neighbourly atmosphere. The perfect way to start the festival day with energy and a smile. The breakfast, entitled ‘Pastes, breads and cucumbers, or vegan delicacies to start the day’, will be prepared by singer and actress Elina Toneva from the Chorea Theatre.

Participation in the breakfast is free of charge. Coffee, tea and sweets will also be available for purchase at Filiżana Cafe!

Screen printing with BLOT studio 12:00-16:00

A unique opportunity to print the Festival logo on a commemorative bag or T-shirt using one of the oldest and most noble techniques of finishing clothes, originating in the Far East.

Children’s Fair 10:00-16:00

We invite children and young people to try their hand at being exhibitors, exchanging and selling their treasures: toys, clothes, books or handicrafts.

Participation in the fair is free of charge. Simply fill in the form below and wait for us to contact you! Link to the application form: https://forms.gle/8HXyihsK1ChMmuCS8

The event is intended for children and young people and their adult relatives. We kindly request that children be supervised by their parents/guardians during the fair.

We kindly request our future exhibitors to:

1. displayed items in good condition, undamaged and clean;

2. the items belonged to the exhibitors – by registering for the Children’s Fair, the exhibitor declares that the items belong to him/her or the child.

If you have any questions, please contact us at the following email address: p.rembowski@centrumdialogu.com.

“Jakubowska and Schneider – the story of a collaboration” lecture by Joanna Ostrowska 13:00

A meeting devoted to one of the most important figures in Polish cinema. Joanna Ostrowska will present the work and life of Wanda Jakubowska, a director whose films still evoke emotions and provoke discussion today.

River of Clothes – workshops on an artistic and educational installation for children 15:00

Interactive textile workshops during which participants, under the guidance of educators and artist Martyna Konieczny, will combine design and styling with issues of ecology and consumer responsibility.

Ticketed admission

Festival Information Point 10:00-16:00

During the opening hours of the Dialogue Centre and Festival Centre, you will have the opportunity to ask any questions at our information point! Our volunteers will answer all your questions! We invite you to visit us!

Who is it for?

For everyone who wants to spend a day in a creative and neighbourly atmosphere – from families with children, through lovers of dance and live music, to those interested in art, ecology and cinema history.

Why is it worth it?

Because different forms of culture will come together in one place: morning dancing and breakfast together, creative screen printing and a children’s market, a lecture on Wanda Jakubowska and the ‘River of Clothes’ workshop. It is an opportunity to combine fun with reflection, discover art in practice and build a true neighbourhood culture.
