Hummus Day at Fuzja | music, workshops, film

What is it about?

Join us for one of the most aromatic and community-oriented events of this year’s Łódź Multicultural Festival. In the industrial spaces of Fuzja, we’ll gather around a shared table to celebrate Hummus Day—a celebration of flavors and culinary diversity that has long contributed to Łódź’s multicultural character.

The event will feature tastings of hummus in various forms, workshops, live music, and a friendly, neighborly atmosphere perfect for conversation and socializing. The evening will conclude with an outdoor film screening as part of TME Polówka.

By whom?

The program features local culinary initiatives, entertainers, and artists who help create the atmosphere of a gathering around a shared table, as well as an evening film screening as part of TME Polówka.

FOR WHOM

Hummus Day is an event for everyone who wants to experience the festival through food, socializing, and spending time together in an open, friendly atmosphere. We invite the residents of Łódź, families with children, Fuzja’s neighbors, festival participants, and everyone who wants to discover the city’s multiculturalism through everyday practices—such as eating, talking, and being together at a shared table. This is an event for people of all ages, including those who simply want to spend a summer afternoon in a pleasant atmosphere.

Why is it worth it?

For years, the Łódź of Many Cultures Festival has demonstrated that the city’s multiculturalism is not just a matter of history, but also a contemporary part of everyday life—evident in languages, relationships, music, and flavors. Hummus Day is an invitation to celebrate this diversity together in the most direct and welcoming way—through food and gathering. It is an event that builds community around the table, reminding us of the Middle Eastern influences present in Łódź’s urban culture and creating a space for neighborly conversation and togetherness. The summer finale of the day, in the form of an outdoor cinema, further emphasizes the festival-like nature of the gathering and its open, urban format.
