Festival Town
What?
For two days, the Survivors’ Park and the area surrounding the Marek Edelman Center of Dialogue will transform into the Festival Village—an open space for meeting, relaxing, eating, having fun together, and participating in cultural activities. Visitors will be able to spend a few hours or the entire day here, moving freely between the various events on the program of the Łódź of Many Cultures Festival.
The festival town is being created for those who don’t want to leave the festival grounds between performances, concerts, or events. There, visitors will be able to grab a bite to eat, relax, take part in workshops and artistic activities, and browse the booths featuring products created by local artists.
Throughout the weekend, the Festival Town will bring together various elements of the festival program.

So the festival town isn’t just a single event, but a space where, over the course of two days, you’ll be able to experience the festival in many different ways—actively participate in the program, meet others, or simply spend time together.
Who?
The Festival Village is co-created by artists, educators, local creators, and the organizers of the various events taking place during the festival weekend. The program is interdisciplinary and family-friendly—it combines music, theater, literature, visual arts, workshops, participatory activities, and outdoor events.
For Whom?
The Festival Town is for everyone—families with children, teens, adults, and seniors, as well as those coming for a specific event and those who simply want to spend the weekend in a festival atmosphere. You can drop by for a little while, attend a workshop or concert, meet up with friends here, or stay for the whole day. It’s a space designed so that between events, there’s also time for conversation, food, relaxation, and spontaneous encounters.
Why is it worth it?
The Łódź of Many Cultures Festival celebrates the city as a meeting place—for different languages, histories, generations, experiences, and ways of life. The Festival Town carries this idea from the event program into a shared space. Here, you don’t have to choose just one performance or workshop and head home right after. You can stay, meet people you’ve never met before, dance together, eat, listen to music, make something with your own hands, or simply sit in Survivors’ Park and see what happens next.
It is precisely in this free flow between culture and everyday life that the idea behind the Little Town lies. For two days in September, the area around the Dialogue Center is set to become just such a place: open, diverse, and welcoming—a place where you can spend the whole day and truly experience the atmosphere of the Łódź of Many Cultures Festival.
Availability
The Festival Town will be located at the Marek Edelman Center of Dialogue and in its immediate vicinity in Survivors’ Park.w Parku Ocalałych.
